Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires expertise in various mechanical systems, including hydraulics and electrical components, to ensure optimal performance and safety of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Conduct inspections of air brake systems and other critical components.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during testing or repair processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding techniques.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour
