DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing and coordinating the planning/scheduling functions related to material flow for all Production Lines within Rockford operations.  Works under the general direction of the Supply Chain Director.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Create Daily/Weekly Production Schedules for machining and assembly work centers within Rockford Facility.
  • Utilize future forecast and historical sales analysis to project future demands.
  • Analyze daily MRP output for order recommendations, exceptions, and reschedules to take necessary appropriate actions based on computer messages.
  • Coordinate and update the various planning parameters in MRP on a regular basis to successfully utilize family planning bills, manual holds and safety stock.
  • Forecast, schedule, and manage distributor stock, and finished good inventory, as well as kanban-type replenishment orders.
  • Primary contact to communicate with the Inside Sales Department with regard to specific customer delivery schedules.
  • Work with Operations to support rework orders, manufacturing and WIP order changes as required.
  • Maintain assigned programs to assist in development and implementation of best class practices in inventory management.
  • Involvement in Concentric continuous improvement projects, as assigned.
  • Act as Lead in Yearly Physical Inventory.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

High School diploma minimum with an Associates Degree in a technical field desirable.  Achievement of, or working towards, APICS certification preferable.  Five to seven years manufacturing experience required if no degree.  Must be a self starter and work without direct supervision.
