Manufacturing Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop manufacturing processes
Uses lean tools to improve processes
Reviews new designs for producibility
Interacts with customers sales and engineering representatives
Supports teams on projects
Supports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions
Creates and maintains process documentation
Implements engineering changes
Process and update work order documentation
Utilize all applicable software
Updates management on project status
Adhere to quality system requirements
Other job duties as assigned
Computer Skills:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project
Detailed working experience with Solidworks CAD system and CAD/CAM software
Ability to navigate the internet, websites and databases as they apply to the job function
Education / Experience:
Previous manufacturing engineering or manufacturing technician experience in applicable fields
Reasoning Ability:
Must have reasoning ability to define and troubleshoot problems; collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Must have ability to apply common sense, identify and communicate problems, and carry out instructions
Ability to read and interpret general instructions, correspondence, and memos
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or business representatives
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, management and other employees of the company
Understand common manufacturing processes
Understand of Lean Manufacturing concepts
Project planning abilities
