Industrial EHS Coordinator 2nd & 3rd Shifts (Rockford Brake Manufacturing)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Manager to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices within our organization. The Environmental Manager will oversee environmental health and safety (EHS) initiatives, develop training programs, and implement strategies to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems in accordance with EPA regulations and OSHA standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws, including workers’ compensation law.
• Prepare detailed reports on environmental performance and incidents, utilizing strong report writing skills.
• Lead root cause analysis for any environmental incidents or non-compliance issues, developing corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide training and development programs for staff on EHS policies, first aid, CPR, and occupational health practices.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations.
• Monitor changes in environmental legislation and ensure the organization adapts accordingly.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of EPA regulations and OSHA standards is essential.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in workers’ compensation law and its application within the workplace.
• Excellent report writing skills for documenting findings and recommendations.
• Ability to conduct effective root cause analysis to identify underlying issues affecting compliance.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
• Familiarity with occupational health principles and practices related to EHS initiatives.
