Michael King


Michael King leads the executive and professional search division at workplace. Drawing from his extensive experience assisting area employers with their talent acquisition needs, Michael provides innovative and best-in-class recruitment and assessment solutions.  His core strengths include talent acquisition strategy and execution, group facilitation, workforce development analysis, organizational development, career coaching, employment negotiation, and onboarding.  Michael is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Since joining workplace, Michael has been active in Next Rockford as a member of the Strategy Team; as a board member of the Rockford Symphony Orchestra; in Transform Rockford as a member of the Leadership Team; in Alignment Rockford as a Pathways Committee member; as a past board member of the Attracting and Retaining Talent to the Rockford Area (ARTRA) steering committee, where he was a co-founder of Jobapalooza, Rockford’s professional career fair; and as a past board member for the Rockford Area Society of Human Resource Management.


Industrial Division

Linda Kinkade


Linda recently celebrated ten (10) years with workplace.  Linda has built on the knowledge and experience gained through her many years  at a local manufacturer, and she now leads our industrial placement division.  Customers and candidates appreciate her competency when viewing and discussing manufacturing processes.  She is a member of Women in Today’s Manufacturing.

Zelka Dillon


Zelka joined workplace in 2011 to further enhance our commitment to safety.  When responding to employee injuries, Zelka draws upon her education from Rockford University and her ten (10) years of experience working at a leading occupational medicine clinic.  Her fluency in five (5) languages allows her to provide comfort, care and information in the native language of most of our employees.  In the event of an injury her rapid response time to the site provides our employees with knowledgeable attention and access to someone who will shepherd them through the treatment process.  Zelka actively manages each injury claim.  She demonstrates her caring nature as a volunteer at Gigi’s Playhouse.


Payroll & Billing

Karen Butler


On staff since 1998, Karen endeavors to keep the corporate office of workplace attuned to the employment side. Her knowledge of computers, fueled from working for an IT/computer business, as well as the organizational skills and attention to detail honed in ten (10) years of banking, and four (4) years as a church treasurer contribute to her all-around comprehension of all back office operations including payroll, accounting, unemployment claims, and monitoring the staffing software and computer network.

Jack Dillon


Often recognized as our market differentiator, Jack is trusted by many manufacturing clients because of his combined expertise in understanding candidates’ skills, knowledge and abilities and the client companies’ needs, challenges and goals.  He spends time understanding the current and upcoming opportunities and challenges faced by our clients, and he proactively prepares our team to support our customer base.  Daily he draws on his twenty plus (20+) years of success in staffing local firms.

Lorayne Logan


As founder and president, LoRayne sets the vision and values for workplace.  She believes that our company must be based in integrity and operate with values that respect and support both our client companies and our candidates.  She advocates for our customers, instilling in each team member the important role they play in helping an organization fulfill their goals through hiring the best people. In 1993, she became a founding shareholder in Temporary Services Insurance Limited, a workers’ compensation insurance company, and has served as an executive officer of the company since its inception.

LoRayne is active in the local community and was recognized by the Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce as the 2013 Woman Business Owner of the Year and was a recipient of Rotary’s Service Above Self award.  In 2011, she was named as one of the 21 People You Should Know.
